DIY Repairing Your Outboard Motor

If you own a personal yacht, you would often find yourself in repairing and maintaining the boat engine. Reassemble or disassemble hoses and water pumps easily by yourself by following the careful instructions of the instruction manual.

Adding a small amount of ethanol in your fuel can help in increasing the efficiency of your engine especially during the times while it is starting up, such as hesitation, or wobbling of the engine.

Gaskets, hoses and other compartments need to be regularly checked to make sure that you motor is running in perfect condition. Different brands might have different ways of getting their outboard motors repaired. It is highly suggested to hire a professional technician to do the repairs rather than doing anything on your own. You can also consult specialist mechanics for Honda, Yamaha and other companies that know the ins and outs of outboard repairing.
